I have always loved long exposure pictures, and the Miami Vice hot pink color. This is where they collided on the canvas. “Big City Nights” was a lesson in super transparent hot pinks over black. Building layers of white or a combination of white and pink to really get the contrast and glow of the taillights took a lot longer than expected to really dial the look in. There’s also a little Easter egg in this painting that my wife said it would be cool if you did … Also this is mounted in a personally built floating frame, 3/4” border with a 3” depth that gives it a modern, classy look on the wall.
