    Crystal Goertzen

    Wayne, Oklahoma

I was born in Enid, OK and lived there for a few years then moved to Okemah, OK. My parents divorced and I moved to a cattle ranch with a new family. At age six, I began to paint as my surroundings inspired me and still do to this day. In grade school, I drew cartoons for the school newspaper. Then, in middle and H. s. I blossomed with some notoriety from my art teachers. My first exhibition was the Alzheimer’s Foundation Fundraiser where I was recognized as a exhibitor. Then in 2002, the Moore Public Library gave me a month long display. Following this, the Moore American Newspaper wrote a front page full ad on my story as an artist the same year. I continued to work on billboards and signs for years after. After a 20 year break, I picked up where I left off and have found new energy and began to paint again. My day job began 35 years ago as a hairdresser and I continue to work 4 days a week. My intention is to go full-time as an artist in the next 4 years. Follow me as I slide into the future as a full-time artist and take note of my online store and gallery, as well as Instagram. You can use the QR code as shown here to follow my gallery and IG page. There are also limited edition prints available upon request and in Redbubble under “cgoertzenart.” Thank you for your interest in my work, Crystal Goertzen
